Hello and welcome to Ocean Drop Inc. Ocean Drop Inc isn't a real company, but a made up one with a team of dreamers who want to go beyond the stars and share their dreams and stories with you. We have been around since 2001. It started out with only one member, but grew in time. The goal of our team is to show our artwork and stories to you the public. And help anyone who wants to do the same. We hope to be a real company soon. Thank you for believing in us.

THE HISTORY OF OCEAN DROP
It was around the fourth grade when Derik started to make comics. He started drawing since Kindergarden, and took off with drawings of Space Jam. Daniel Whitehead a longtime friend of Derik's helped him with story lines and editing. Derik has a lack for spelling.

The fourth grade Derik started to play around with comics. Making spoofs off Star Wars, same story but everyone in it was dogs. His fourth grade class loved it. He made a fictional company called D.R.T Inc. (drt standing for Derik's initials.) Still spoofing, Derik created his own Sonic the Hedgehog and called him Speedy. It was the same story plot, but the hedgehog was colored yellow. By doing this Derik eventually started to brain storm his own story plots, but wasn't that grand at it. Fourth grade was a time of creativity, we had story telling every other day. We had to make our own stories and present them in class. Derik's long time friend Daniel Whitehead was top of the class next to Mark Vancel. Both Daniel and Derik started to make a rental comic book store, held in the corner of the classroom near the exit door at free time periods. D. R. T Inc. changed into D. D. Inc. Daniel made stories called Blood Shack, dealing with horrors of a mature teen audience. D. D. Inc made a side company called Daniel Books, novels and whatnot.

Eventually we took in Mark Vancel, with his Castle Vania and Final Fantasy knowledge made a horror type comic, with the main character Aaron McCloud had to fight Dracula. We called it Final Flashback, but later changed it to Final Dreams. Mark and Derik were illustrators while Daniel edited and colored. Mark moved away and Fifth grade started. I was brought into a new class. This is where I met Tyler, and talked about anime and video games. Tyler liked to doodle and make little mechs and other stick figures. Derik's final spoof comic came then. Derik's biggest influence was Dragon Ball Z. Which he wanted to make a story of his own with Super Saiyans and what not. Eventually seeing Daniel Whitehead at lunch and Tyler in class a comic called The Castle was born. It ran for 52 issues and was discontinued. Derik believes it was well done for his grade, coloring was bad, writing was bad but it came out good in the end. He continued The Castle until 8th grade. Daniel controlling the witty story. As high school hit, Derik wanted to make his own story without spoofing anyone else. By working hard eventually he worked out and created something and put Final Dreams as its title. Derik worked on this till May of 2008. Final Dreams was Derik's first manga type comic. Black and white and read right to left. Derik missed the color later and wanted to return to American style, though Derik loves both types , he feels more confident with American. In high school around freshman year he met Eri-Eri, she wanted to make her own comics and Ocean Drop was there! Amazingly, we went to the West Coast! Neko was already famous there, and by meeting Derik and Tyler she quickly landed a spot in Ocean Drop. Creating many stories and comics of her own. Derik began to recruit more people as a buddy at his school he welcomed Kiroku, who always wanted to make stories and comics, just having a hard time starting. Ocean Drop was there for him. We hope to get more and more people to join and watch our world grow.
